Punchlist
About

Built for project work, from the ground up

Most field-service software was designed for recurring, route-based work: lawn care, cleaning, HVAC maintenance, the same job on a schedule. Punchlist is built for a different kind of work.

Why we started here

Project-based trade work doesn't look like a recurring service call: concrete, decks and fencing, roofing, siding, painting, flooring and tile, window and door installs, plumbing and electrical fixture work, handyman jobs, remodels. Every job starts with an estimate that has to be right, gets billed in stages as the work progresses, and rarely repeats the same way twice. Most of the software built for contractors was designed around the opposite pattern: the same visit, on a schedule, quoted once and repeated. That mismatch shows up everywhere - in how estimates get built, how billing works, and what counts as a "feature" versus an expensive add-on.

What we're building instead

Punchlist starts from project-based work and builds outward: AI-native estimating from a photo or a voice walkthrough, milestone billing and change orders that match how project work actually gets paid, and marketing that's included in the plan instead of sold back to you a la carte. It's one system, one price per tier, built for solo operators and small crews rather than adapted from software designed for enterprise construction firms or recurring-service businesses.
